38 勇気を持って下さい
決して怖がらないでください。人間であることの最大の敵は怖れであります。 神の愛と知恵を信頼してください。 そしてたとえあなたが影の中に入ろうとも、もしあなたが光を輝かせているならば、 暗闇があなたに触れることはないということを記憶していてください。 光は愛であり、清浄であるのです。
そして、キリストの精霊のあらゆる特質であります。精霊は、神の火花でありますが、必ずあらゆる条件を克服するでありましょう。
38 HAVE COURAGE
Never be afraid. The greatest enemy of humanity is fear. Be confident in the love and the wisdom of God, and remember that if you go into shadow, darkness will not touch you if you are radiating light. Light is love and purity, and all the qualities of the Christ-spirit. The spirit, the divine spark, will ever rise triumphant over all conditions.

39身を任せてください。戦ってはいけません。
もし、あなたがカルマを通して、あなたが尻込みするような経験を受けるよう求められている場合に、もしあなたが、自我を捨て、永遠なる光に、
純粋で甘美なるキリストの命に身をゆだねることができて、そしてその命のすべてを包み込む愛の温かさ、強さ、慰めを感じることができるならば、
あなたはあなたを苦しめようとする兆候のあるあらゆる物事を攻撃するよりも、ずっとうまくやることができるでしょう。
39 SURRENDER-DON'T FIGHT
If you are called upon, through your karma, to go through an experience from which you shrink;
then if you can resign youeself and surrender wholly and tranquilly to the eternal light-to the pure sweet life of the Lord Christ-and can feel the warmth and the strength and the comfort of that life's all-enfolding love, you will do far better than trying to attack anything which threatens to overwhelm you.
